Strategic Projects Engineer

The role of a strategic projects engineer includes various global initiatives and accompanying the president of UTi CL&D on extensive global travel. It further has the following duties and responsibilities:

• On-going development and improvement of a Global Warehousing Pricing Model

• Development of warehouse specific Client Profitability Models, ensuring accurate billing and cost allocation

• Summarizing information into manageable documents, incl. contracts, pricing documents, etc.

• Developing presentations for managerial meetings, web conferences, global face-to-face meetings, business cases, etc.

• Conducting and coordinating global operation calls

• Reviewing current internal business processes and recommend improved and optimized solutions

• Analyzing and structuring large data sets to develop valuable and actionable information

• Working closely with employees globally to compile the necessary information used to make key strategic decisions

• Attending management committee meetings locally and globally, (USA & Canada, Africa, APAC and EMENA contract logistics and distribution), and executive management meetings.  Compiling meeting minutes, agendas and action items as outputs from these meetings.

• Designing and pricing proposed warehousing solutions that include; warehouse layouts, staffing calculations, MHE requirement, storage infrastructure, etc.
