Duties and Responsibilities:

 Assists site management in attending the client’s job related queries.

 Responsible for the coordination, meeting with clients as QA/AC representative and client correspondence.

 Responsible for the material receiving on site which is based on isometric drawing. Final documentation control.

 Responsible in reviewing and fully implementing the project procedure and making sure that the works are completed on time.

 Reading and complete understanding of Plans, Isometric Drawings and P&ID’s; preparation of welding procedure specification when needed.

 Checks and monitors Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) & Procedure Qualification Record (PQR) and serves as witness of Welder Qualification Test (WQT) according to ASME IX.

 Checks and monitors the correct attachment and orientation of nozzle into pressure vessel as per drawing, specification and applicable code ASME Section V111 div 1.

 Supervises the fabrication, welding, inspection and hydro-test of LPG storage tank. Ensure the specification and heat number during cutting of the plates are transferred.

 Responsible for the inspection of shell plate’s erection vertical and horizontal joints, nozzles, stairs and plate form. Responsible for the inspection of Pre- and Post-welding and preparations of weld maps (Bottom, Shell and Roof).

 Responsible for the visual inspection of plates before and after rolling; visual inspection of welding; monitors all NDT (MT, PT, RT and UT) according to API 650/620, Pneumatic Leak Test (PLT) of reinforcement pads.

 Responsible for the peaking and banding inspection of welds and plumpness of tank according to API 620/650 and project specifications and for the preparing of the QA/QC format and reports.

 Preparation of punch list pre-test and post-test and responsible for the inspection of sand blasting and painting. Verification of punch list after rectification.

 Carry out inspection in accordance to Saudi Aramco Engineering standards (SAES), quality control procedure (QCP), inspection test plan (ITP) and also well-verse in different codes such as ASME CODE, AWS, API.

 Primarily involved in the inspection and monitoring of piping and welding in progress construction of gas plant project in accordance in applicable code such as ASME B31.3, ASME VIII div.1 and AWS D1.1.

 Responsible in the line checking of completed line as per test packages and prepares report of punch items outstanding, weld mapping of all joint. For instance, during surveillance, I am responsible for the checking and approval of WPS and verifies all certificates or identification card of the welders who are qualified in the WPS.

 Makes sure that all requirements in the WPS are smoothly implemented. Checks the drawing for the correct dimensions in the actual spool that are being erected. Checks the fit-up to comform to project specification and strictly monitors all NDT testing at site and in fabrication shop. Checks and monitors repairs if welders are qualified and the WPS is approved. Lastly, prepares all report for record and control final documents.

 Conducts holiday testing on storage tank as per film thickness on procedure requirement, stringing, trace-ability and bending inspection.

 Monitors procedure and welder qualification. Responsible for the inspection of Pre-welding and Post-welding and visual inspection of welding.

 Executes all NDT according to Code (API 1104), ASME B31.1, AMSE B31.3, AWS D1.1, and ASME VIII div.1. Responsible in the Coat Wrapping inspection with Holiday Detector.

 Inspection of Grit-blasting and Heat Shrink Sleeve on welded joints, Peal Test of Sleeve, Trenching, Holiday Test, Lowering and Backfilling according to client’s specifications and prepares weld map.

 Inspection of Hydro testing and leak testing. In-charge in preparing reports, documentation and packaging. Collates all reports and document for final inspection.
