Design for Manufacture point of purchase displays for Intel Logitech and Superdrug.

Position: Sub contract design and development engineer.

Project: Description, Cosmetics and IT Displays for MUA, Intel and Logitech.

1. Work alongside the cosmetics team in order to develop, the inner PETG/Acrylic modules that sit within the cosmetics display carcasses.

2. Liaise with project manager in order to develop, a timber display stand for Intel RealSense.

3. 3D Platform – Autodesk Inventor.

4. Materials used to develop POP displays include: Steel, Acrylic, PETG and Wood.

5. The manufacturing processes involved are: heat bending, vacuum forming and various machining processes.

Apr 2014 – July 2015
Foster Refrigerator.

Multi-national company, manufacturing environment UK market leading manufacturer of commercial food service refrigeration equipment.

Position: Sub contract design and development engineer.

Project: Description, New Click and Collect System – value: £1m plus.

1. Liaise with the project management team and manufacturing engineers in order to support the design/development of a safe and cost effective solution for the new innovative range of refrigerated and ambient click and collect equipment.

2. Design and develop all aspects of the project, for ease of manufacture and assembly, from the fabricated Sheet metal components, to the electrical and refrigeration system.

3. The generation of Solidworks parts and assemblies in order to produce drawings for manufacture. All models and drawings were created by using; 3D Platform – SolidWorks 2012 and PDM Vault.

4. When required manage any and all aspects of prototyping.

Multi-national company, manufacturing environment point of sale and bespoke products for the retail industry, accounts including Sainsbury’s, Asda Boots and Wilkinson’s new cosmetics display concept for example.

Position: Sub contract design and development engineer.

Projects: various – value: dependent upon role out.

1. Customer face to Asda and Sainsbury’s design team.

2. Lead design engineer for Wilkinson’s new cosmetics display concept.

3. Liaise with the client and project managers in order to manage and develop new projects from concept to prototype.

4. Ensure that the customer expectations are managed in order to control the design of a safe and cost effective solution for their enquiry. 3D Platform – SolidWorks.

5. Supply technical drawings and support for the client, as well as the in house and sub contract manufacturing base (home and abroad).

Hawes Signs

Developing signage products ranging from structural illuminated pylons for automotive clients to internal signage for supermarkets including Tesco and Sainsbury’s.

Position: Sub contract design engineer.

1. Duties include but not exclusive to developing signage products as part of a team of engineers, also using own initiative. 3D Platform – AutoCAD Inventor and vault.

2. Manage workloads for all development engineers, ensure all lead time are achieved report back to senior management any issues pertaining to failure in order to resolve issues/problems.
