( One of the leading family run business with a combined balance sheet size of over QAR 2 billion in Qatar with interests in Real Estate, Asset Management, Private Investments, Trading, Manufacturing, Logistics etc. )

There are 11 companies under the group. There are 3 primary companies which are involved in Real Estate Development & Investment and Equity Market Investments. Other secondary companies are in the field of consultancy (real estate), steel trading, logistics etc.

Position: Head Of Finance

Duties :

A- Financial Planning & Analysis

• Direct and coordinate financial planning and budget management functions

• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget

• Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department

• Preparing feasibility studies and market studies for new projects (evaluated more than 125 real estate acquisition opportunities in hotels, commercial and residential projects)

• Assist and work with the external consultants on evaluating the market trends and new business (primarily for new real estate projects )

B- Financial Reporting

• Prepare the Quarterly and Annual Reports and manage the internal and external review for these document

• Prepare monthly earnings summary and summary of key financial transactions during the period

• Communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to the management team

• Perform continuous assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to reduce the timing to close the financial period

• Manage monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts

• Coordinate, develop and update written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process

C – Liquidity / Capital Management

• Establishing and maintaining short-term credit availability, including revolving credit agreements, L/c facilities agreements to provide liquidity for the Company

• Review funding and financing strategy for new projects and companies

• Oversee the repayment schedule and ensure timely repayment of amounts pending under L/C.

• Preparing loan repayment schedule and ensure adequate cash availability to meet the loan obligations

• Negotiate and work with commercial banks to get the best interest rates on company borrowings and fixed deposits

• Leading the accounting and financing division by hiring, training and mentoring staff
