Founder & Director

Established Africa Mining Services, opening the first office in Guinea Conakry, to offer broad range of support services to the oil, gas and mining sector in Africa including logistics services, aviation support, security and equipment leasing. Responsibilities including the following:

• Sourcing and employing local management.

• Expanding local business network and liaising with local Government.

• Business development with local & international companies operating in the region.

• Facilitating entry of new business into the region and securing long term relationships.

• Developing HSE and operational protocols for the company group.

• Incorporating and briefing responsible business practices including anti bribery/corruption.

TITAN SECURITY, Nigeria (November 2010 To May 2011)


• Worked with Niger Delta post amnesty stabilisation team to design a program of rehabilitation and reintegration of ex militants in the Niger Delta region.

• Consulted with Nigerian Military and NSA over enhancing Government Delta Oil Infrastructure security.

• Carried out threat assessment for assets under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

• In unison with these tasks travelled extensively throughout West Africa gaining a deeper understanding of business methodology and building local networks.

PLATINUM VISION, Dubai (September 2008 to November 2010)

Head of Operations

Platinum Vision was a young company in Dubai specialising in smart home technology and audio visual equipment. On joining the company the work force was five people working out of a small office. Responsibilities included:

• Budgeting and implementation for the relocation to the new office and warehouse complex that became the Head Quarters of Platinum Vision.

• Establishing corporate workflow and procedures within the company, implementing and controlling the management matrix to which the company expanded around.

• Implemented a number of cost cutting measures resulting in a 10% reduction in operating costs after economic downtown.

• Procurement and negotiations of all equipment requirements for ongoing projects, ranging from individual specialised demands to bulk ordering.

• Expanding and coordinating all company logistics demands, from transportation of equipment and personnel worldwide, to storage and security solutions.

• Hiring and immigration of all staff from around the world, overall responsibility for welfare and integration into the company.

Major Achievements:

• Introduced a number of new clients including Aldar to the company, leading to new projects being secured throughout the UAE.

• Procured, designed and implementation of the two new software packages for accounts and project management.

• Constructed business plan and expanded operations into the GCC and Africa simultaneously.

HM FORCES, United Kingdom (April 2003 to August 2008)

Captain, Squadron 2ic & Regimental Gunnery Officer

• Joined the King’s Royal Hussars becoming a Troop Leader of a Challenger 2 Troop. Directly responsible for the careers of soldiers under command.

• Planned and implemented low level operations in Iraq up to Squadron level.

• Regimental Gunnery Officer training completion with distinction. Qualified to train all weapons systems up to 120mm and template range layouts to facilitate live fire exercises.

• Directly responsible for the training and delivery of all gunnery aspects for the Regiment including planning, booking and coordinating of annual firing camps, incorporating a robust plan to include communications, safety and outside agencies. 2006

• Squadron 2ic responsible for planning and implementing a thorough training matrix for deployment to on Operations in Afghanistan. Assisted and devised Battlegroup operations throughout the year and commanded a half Squadron plus in Afghanistan. Recognised in Herrick 7 Honours List for role within theatre for leadership and valour. 2007/8

QUARK, UK (1999-2003)

Country Manager

Negotiated contract to establish and managed a London office of QUARK, an international manufacturer and distributor of electronic security equipment. Responsibilities included:

• Creating an company in London and operating internationally on behalf of the US office finding, negotiating and managing clients ranging from businesses to governments worldwide.

• Managing various intricate projects dealing with electronic and physical security.

• Managing the day to day running of the office consisting of a team of three.

• Financial responsibility of the company, ensuring the steady growth and development.

• Integrating the London office with the pre-established international network.

Major Achievements:

• Hosted and spoke at a Surveillance and Counter Surveillance seminar on behalf of the company at the British Trade Consulate New York in the wake of September 11 2001, highlighting civilian sector technological advancements in the industry.
