Qarn Alam Steam Project (QASP):

PDO intends to increase the oil production, at the Qarn Alam Oilfield to 10000 m3/day (60000TPD) by injecting steam into the reservoir at the rate of 18000TPD.

This project contains of the off plot (well heads) and on plot (Plant Area).

The Off Plot facilities comprise of flow line from the wellheads to the On Plot facilities including MSVs on the downstream.

In Off Plot Following systems are included Hydrocarbon Gathering System (HGS), Aquifier Pump off System (APO), Raw Water Supply Wells (RWS), Steam Injection Wells (SIW) and Manifolds, Produced Water Disposal Wells (PWDWD), Waste Water Disposal Wells (WWDWD) & Shallow Water Disposal Wells (SWDWD).

Plant area consists two sub divisions (Oil & Gas, Water & Steam).

The following Projects were executed as a Team Leader for the Team.

 JAMNAGAR-LONI (JLPL) Multi-Product Pipeline SCADA Project in India:

In this project 100 RTUs are located along the pipeline on different stations from Jamnagar to Loni which is around 1286km Pipeline in Three Phases. Each RTU will collect the data like Pump status, Pump speeds, Gas flow, and Section and discharge pressures. RTUs will send data to the Master station which is located at Jamnagar and Loni by using CISCO Routers Technology. Master will control the MOVs (Motor Operated Valves) Pump status and Speed (rpm) of the Pumps. Here the RTUs are communicating with Master Station on DNP Protocol.

The system is Client & Server configuration. Here the servers collect the data from all RTUs and it will update the data whenever the clients request.

 BSES Power SCADA Mumbai Project in India:

In this project RTUs (D25), FEPs (D200) are configured by using ConfigPro software and MMI (Man Machine Interface) is developed in Power link (GE Harris Product). Here RTU’s are communicating on Serial with FEP by using DNP3.0 Protocol (Distributed Network Protocol). FEP also acquires data from Protection devices (Numerical Relays-ABB) on Fiber Optic Network by using IEC 870-5-103 Protocol. FEP will send data to ZCC and MCC on IEC 870-5-101 Protocol.

 Central Railways Traction Power SCADA System-Mumbai Project in India:

This system was developed to acquire Data from RTU’s which are Installed in different Substations. Here the RTU’s are Collecting data from Different Feeders and sends data to MCC (Master Control Center) on Microwave by using Indactic 33 Protocol. In MCC, FEP (Front End Processor) receives the RTU’s data and sends to the Base System & Base System updates the data all Workstations. Here we are using Standby FEP and Base System for Redundancy. Whenever the one Base System or FEP fails automatically switch over the stand by system.
