My name is Chris Pith, I am a recent graduate as a Civil Engineering in search of full time opportunity in the field of Oil and Gas Industries. Procurement/Suppliers Management

  • Monthly attended meeting or conference meeting with GM, Division Procurement Manager and CFO to strategize finance and cost reduction options.
  • Daily, reviewed MRP/BOM/MRO/OER/REQUISITION reports to support diverse department.
  • Conducted suppliers site visits, and evaluated production capability, performance, delivery, key business criteria: survey/audits to complied Quality Management System.
  • Developed/maintained professional relationships with suppliers to encourage open communications, sharing of opportunities to negotiated cost savings, and shorten lead-time.
  • Utilized appropriate materials control techniques (Just in Time, Dock to Stock, Consignment, Kan-Ban, Suppliers Metric, etc.) to maximize material availability and minimize inventory.
  • Monitored/evaluated supplier’s performance by driving 100% OTD, and establishing quality metric for all external purchase orders. Facilitated/recommended vendors (100%) inspections and participated in conferences meeting between suppliers, and top management.
  • Generated periodic market analysis/evaluated proposal/conducted supplier’s price comparison, and implemented 5% markdown to meet company’s policy and procedures.

  • Developed blankets/identified variety of materials, equipment, and part requirements to meet production needs from engineering, production specifications, schedules of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Advised/notified top management of the Work In Progress (WIP) status, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, engineering changes, cancellation or orders, shortages, and services provided as needed.
  • Analyzed/verified house drawings and prints for engineering specification requirements; insured products specification change requests processed within suppliers to be used.
  • Scheduled/expedited the process of raw materials/ parts /tools/equipment by means of move orders and/or stock transfers to meet customer deadlines.
  • Coordinated/dropped ship raw materials to direct customer/ heat treat/ outsourced vendors; movements between internal work/ storage areas and/or outside further processing or supplies to ensure materials are available when needed within cost effective manner.
