 Job Description:

I am working in Jeddah shipyard (ship building – ship repair) as shipyard electric maintenance department head – Electric and instrumentations and control (E&I&C) – with Engineering Activities as follow:

Instrumentation Section

• Implement Full Electronic floating docks measuring systems (Ballast Tanks level indication, draught measurement, Deflection measurement and Inclination measurement) based on radar technology, (Siemens – Pulsated Radar – Stilling Wells Gauges – Free space Gauges)

Control Section

• Install power and control electric panels for four Marine Portal Cranes – 7 ton each – Main Control based on Siemens PLC S7-300 – Protection and safety system – All wiring and cable laying.

• Change water treatment plant control system based on Siemens PLC – S7-200

Power Section

• After one accident our 19000t floating dock sank in sea water for four months and after refloating it we changed all the medium voltage (switchgears, cables and transformers) – All the power distribution boards – All the power and control cables – All the control panels and motor starters – All the lighting and navigation light – Main control console – All motors have been served in our motor rewind work shop.

• Implement Full Cathodic protection system for 19000t floating dock – Impressed Current Cathodic Protection ICCP Hull Corrosion Protection Systems – Manufactured by Cathelco British company.

• Maintain power plant – Three Man generators each ( 3MVA – 13.8KV – 60HZ)

• Maintain main Siemens medium voltage switch gears 13.8KV.

• Implement and maintain medium voltage ring main units (RMUs) 13.8KV.

• Install new medium voltage cables (Termination – Cable joints) for (XLPE cables – oil impregnated paper insulated cable – Marine Rubber Cables)

• Implement and Maintain Electrical Equipments (LV Induction Motors – Switchgears – Machining electric control – Cables – Power Transformers – Generators – Lighting Systems – …..Etc).

• Electrical Civil Infrastructure Experience (Implement the Electrical System for Campus Buildings).
