• To assist in the delivery of CNS mechanical construction projects by ensuring site operations and construction works comply with relevant safety, contract and current legislation documents and, are delivered to specification, on time and on budget.

• Carry out inspections of mechanical installation works to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.

• Perform checks on the contractor’s quality and safety management.

• Pre-emptive detailed problem solving with contractors and consultants.

• Monitor the progress of works in accordance with the contractors programme.

• Assist in the day to day interpretation of contract documents and issue contract instructions as required.

• Prepare performance reports on contractors, provide information and liaise with appropriate stakeholders including contractors, clients and other construction professionals.

• Ensure contactors provide all service manuals, drawings, tools and other equipment specified at handover.

CAVERN SITE PROJECT SUPERVISOR

• Responsible for all aspects of site control, monitoring and contractor co-ordination for the client, Holford Gas Storage Ltd on the construction and commissioning of sub-surface gas storage caverns. Each cavern was at a different stage of development so many different operations ran concurrently.

• Advised Project Manager on issue resolution and participated in construction site discussions. Chaired site daily co-ordination meetings.

• Participated in safety documentation reviews and ensured that safe systems of work were in place. Provided and, issued permits to work.

• Successfully promoted E.ON SHE values to all parties encountered in relation to the project.

• Assisted Holford Gas Storage Ltd to discharge its roles as principal contractor and CDM coordinator throughout project.

Accomplishment:

• Devised and implemented a coordination strategy with all site contractors which was approved by senior management and played a pivotal role in delivering 8 storage caverns six months ahead of schedule and within budget, into commercial trading, enhancing the income of the company.
