1999 – Dec 2013: Royal Signals Telecommunications Specialist, MOD (Army)

 Shift Supervisor in Multi national Headquarters, providing 24 hour help desk for RF/IT systems with 1st and 2nd line support to customers, logging all faults and ensuring they were cleared in a timely manner.

o Responsible for the completion of all administration, documentation and shift reports.

o In conjuction with managers, provided personnel review input and objectives setting for the shift and junior staff.

o Managed specialist equipment and supervised audiovisual links between different units.

o Took responsibility for prioritisation and resolution of all faults that occurred on shift.

 Advised commanders on communications strategy and tactics, identifying risks and suggesting mitigating solutions.

o Organised and delivered telecommunications demonstrations and presentations for senior military officers and civil servants both foreign and domestic.

 Supervised and certified junior Communications Systems Engineers, ensuring they were competent to work independently.
