I am currently completing 22 years service in the Armed Forces. I have completed a varied amount of jobs in my time. Having been in the Infantry I have worked as assistant Intelligence Officer in the United Kingdom and on operations aboard.
I have a strong logistic background and have run several major accounts. Most recently I have been responsible for career management of 650 soldiers.

Career History

Career Manager – 2008-2014

• Responsible for Career management of 650 trained soldiers.

• Responsible for the external procurement to facilitate the delivery of education to 650 soldiers.

• Updating a number of Commanding Officers on all matters pertaining to career management within their unit.

• Tracking of individual’s annual reports and career paths through the use of Oracle based software.

• Using my extensive knowledge and experience, to assist senior officers make formal decisions to soldier’s careers.

Assistant Intelligence Officer – 2011-2013

• I was responsible for running a small, highly specialised team in an extremely stressful combat situation in Afghanistan.

• Answerable to senior officers for the production and presentation of intelligence and data analysis.

• Worked with other foreign agencies in the collection and analysis of intelligence and targeting of insurgents, using various methods, including intelligence pattern analysis.

• I became the authority in understanding the insurgency and their methods of operation.

• I gave advice to higher level officers to help defeat the insurgents and helped plan decisive operations, in conjunction with Afghanistan security forces.

Intelligence Manager – 2009 – 2010

• I was responsible for running a small highly specialised team in a highly stressful combat situation in Afghanistan.

• Answerable to senior officers for the production and presentation of intelligence and data analysis.

• I worked with a member of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to create and take stewardship of an initiative designed to persuade, assist and support members of the Taliban to reintegrate back into their communities and cease hostilities. This extremely successful programme was used as a model and adopted by other foreign forces throughout Afghanistan and briefed to the British embassy in Kabul.

Logistics Accountant – 2006 – 2008

• Responsible for the running and the maintenance of a 650 personnel large overseas barracks

• Successfully ran an account with over £500,000 worth of equipment.

• IT System Manager, responsible for the accounting of IT equipment within the unit. Tasks included first line repair, regular system updates and back up of data, implementing security standing orders and providing users with the appropriate access to the system.

• As a junior rank took on the responsibility of closing and handing a military camp back to the German Government.

Army Recruiting Sergeant – 2002 – 2006

• Working in a small team in a busy office on the high street,

• ‘Face of the British Army’ and was required to promote the Army in various schools and at career conventions.

• Assessed applicants’ suitability for a career in the Army, through interviews and testing.

• Responsible for the implementation of an eighteen week course for year 11 pupils who were not achieving or behaving appropriately at school in order to gain further education or full time employment.

Logistics Accountant – 2000 – 2002

• I was responsible for the installation and accounting of IT equipment across a battalion of 650 personnel.

• The account was subjected to stringent annual audit inspections to ensure compliance with accounting and equipment care policy.

Intelligence Analysis – 1998 – 2000

• I was deployed on operations in Northern Ireland as an intelligence analyst.

• Responsible for collation, analysis and processing of large amounts of data and producing presentations.

• Responsible for assessing the current terrorist threat to the barracks and soldiers.

• Producing a detailed presentation that was used to brief Chief of the General Staff and members of the American Secret Service for a presidential visit.

• Pivotal to the logistics supply for 95 soldiers running the ammunition account with little or no supervision, for the company Warrant Officer, both on Exercise and Operations overseas.
