Experienced Enterprise Architect within one of the largest energy firms in the US. Applied Enterprise strategies and standards definitions around Data Management, Big Data, Server Infrastructure, Mobility, and Integrations utilizing frameworks based on IBM models and TOGAF. Active participant in the project governance and PMO process definition and modifications. Duties include:

Lead architect on two enterprise wide initiatives. The first initiative is an enterprise wide application to manage retention policies for all content and provide Enterprise Search utilizing Autonomy IDOL, Meridio, Liquid Office, Legal Hold and Early Case Assessment. The second initiative is to architect a series of applications to control the grid in the desert southwest and energy trading. A leader in identity management and security in the Oracle community and featured presenter at many international conferences on security, including Oracle Open World, Collaborate, Oracle HR Conference, and many others. Data Warehousing Architect, Independent Consultant United Healthgroup
April 2009 to February 2010

Implemented a strategy to provide performance tuning on an existing data warehouse for ETL jobs and reporting. Utilizing complex partitioning and partition indexes, improved performance tenfold and while not impacting existing applications. Original project was to archive and purge data, but an alternative was found to improve existing functionality, thus saving the corporation thousands in additional hardware.

Technical lead for a financial services company who were re-engineering their entire business using the Oracle E-Business Suite. The modules include AR and Incentive Compensation. Responsible for 6 developers and their tasks, developing all the technical designs for customizations needed to support the business. Worked with the business to take the business requirements and map them into the technology in the Oracle EBS. Development efforts include Oracle Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, and Workflow. In addition, worked with Applimation tool (now Informatica) to implement an Archive and Purge strategy before implementing Oracle EBS.

 

Business Evaluation, Independent Consultant Mate Precision Tooling
September 2007 to March 2008

Consultant to senior leadership for a small manufacturing firm to evaluate their current business processes. The documentation developed was used by the implementation team to upgrade their existing Oracle E-Business Suite environment to Oracle 12i. Presented a series of workshops to document all the business processes and presented to C-level where the challenges will be in an upgrade. The company was attempting to upgrade AP, GL, FA, MRP, WIP, and BOM.

Technical manager for the implementation of a Oracle E-Business Suite. Responsible for the design and development of all forms, reports, and other custom code (using PL/SQL) in the Oracle modules: AR, AP, GL, Projects, HR, Payroll, and Time & Labor. The team included 8 developers and 4 offshore resources, including Oracle On-Demand. The implementation was extremely successful and the company continues to improve on the implementation.

Developed the proposal for senior leadership, Return on Investment, and overall design of the Data Warehouse. Data Marts included Sales, Marketing, Profitability, Inventory Management, Commissions, Receivables, and Cost of Goods Sold. The proposal was approved and a team implemented the data warehouse over a period of three 3 years.

Technical Lead responsible for the design and development of interfaces to and from Oracle Financials and Manufacturing. Development took place in an Oracle Application 11i environment, using PL/SQL, Forms and Reports 6i, and XML. Developed interfaces using XML feeding various modules in Oracle Applications 11i, including OE, AR, MFG, BOM, and WIP from JD Edwards Applications. Responsible for the purchase of the software product, Applimation, to replace the archive and purge strategy currently used at Emerson. Set up and developed the complex selection criteria to archive the data.

Technical Project Lead responsible for the upgrade and implementation for ALL customizations in an Oracle 10.7 to 11i9 upgrade. He led a team of 10 developers on-site and 5 off-shore developers. Total number of customizations responsible for was approximately 3000. This role required the utilization of technical and functional knowledge of the Oracle Applications.
