Electrical Engineer , Certified Professional Energy Manager (PEM) from Institute of Energy Professionals (IEP) / Energy University by Schneider Electric with 18 years of extensive full-time Engineering, Procurement, Management work experience in different kind of projects such as EPC, Infrastructure, Commercial, Industrial and Residential Projects, the following are summary of my key qualifications and skills:-

–       Study, Review, Develop and analyzing tender contract documents, Drawings, Specifications and Calculations at all design stages against relevant Standard and Codes and co-ordinate with other disciplines. Preparing the technical data package required for commencing bids, contract design drawings, specifications, project bill of quantities (BOQ) , reply on bidders enquiries, RFI’s, Contractors method statements,  revise contractors monthly payments and Perform all MEP contractual correspondences.

–       Review, Coordinate and provide technical support to Projects ensuring technical, commercial adherence to project schedules, specification and quality.

–       Preparing the necessary Technical, Cost Analysis, Value Engineering, Sub- Contractor and Specialized Contractor assessment, Design Review reports to support operation and construction of different projects.

–       Makes design decisions and recommendations coordinated with the project requirements that establish the basic design solution along with the necessary Value Engineering Studies to reduce cost and optimize projects constructability.

–       Represents firm in workshops and meetings to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work, and provides analysis of difficult problems involving unusual technical complexity.

–       Having a good background about Contracts types, FIDIC, Value Engineering, Tendering process.

–       Review and approval of systems and equipment installations during and after work has been completed.

–       Experience in international codes / standards and local regulations (Such as: BSI, NFPA/ NEC, IEC and different local authorities such as ADWEA/ ADDC/ DEWA / SEC Standards.

–       Design, Supervision of Installation, Testing and commissioning of building service utilities projects, Preparation and review of work shop drawings & Submittals and full construction documents of electrical systems for building service and utilities projects.

–       Give support to Tendering team for the pricing, discount values and Engineering department for the technical issues, and for the Operation for the Follow up with Authorities, getting approvals and follow up with the suppliers.

–       Handling material procurement and negotiation activities for both local and international purchasing, assess the technical recommendations for material procurement and Survey construction market and recommend new sources.

–       Float enquiries for the proposed & approved vendors after reviewing / assessing technical Specification, BOQ (Bill of Quantity) and Drawings to determine suitable vendors and suppliers, study the technical offers & assess compliance or declare deviations for each product.

–       Be in contact with clients & suppliers to guarantee smooth process for approval of submittals and Participate in progress and follow up meetings and solve the problems.

–       Manage, coordinate and provide technical support to the procurement team, also develop goals and objectives and ensure that staff has an appropriate understanding on the procurement activities ensuring timely procurement and delivery of material, according to specification, schedule, quality, KPI’s and Company procedures and practices.  Take leadership of and provide direction to procurement team ensuring resolution of problems.

–       Closely work with the technical and project team to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvement in the procurement strategy.

–       Develop, Review, Implement and monitor an efficient and well-structured procurement process, policies and procedures, Ensuring ethical principles and standards of sourcing purchasing practices.

–       Direct and monitor all personnel activities within procurement area including manpower forecasting, staff assignments and performance reviews.

–       Oversee the coordination and development of procurement plans and specification between the Project and Engineering.

–       Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements as well as maintaining standards of safety and comply with Company’s Occupational Health & Safety Management System requirements.

–       Leverage and consolidate inputs and requirements from the different divisions to plan required goods and services to consolidate orders and ensure timely delivery with minimum cash-flow impact.

–       Prepare RFP’s and RFQ’s inquiry documents about commercial standards, technical specifications, B.O.Q.s and Drawings, as per Company requirements, Review quotations of identified technical and commercial specifications received from the vendors and suppliers to determine the best offer complies with contract, best price and delivery date.

–       Prepare & issue purchase orders in accordance with selected suppliers, Delivery time, price and technical specifications.

–       Represent procurement team in meetings with project engineers and assist in preparing the projects procurement plans and strategy and in meetings with suppliers to finalize the technical and commercial aspects of the order.
