Career Summary

1: QURRAYAH COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT II:

Two years and four months of experience as electrical engineer with BEMCO Arabia as main contractor at Qurraiyah Power Plant-II in Saudi Arabia. During my job I carried out installation of electrical equipment (13.8kV, 4.16kV, 480V,230 switchgears, 480V MCC, DCS system, DC systems, 230V and 125V UPS system, DCDB /ACDB systems), installation of cable ladders and conduits, managing of cable pulling, termination and testing etc.

2: ARAR POWER PLANT EXTENSION (IV):

I have been working as lead Electrical Engineer and Instrument and Control site Engineer with SADELMI as main contractor in ArAr power plant extension (IV) . We are installing two SIEMENS gas turbines and their accessories. So far I have carried out:

Electrical scope of work:

 Installation of primary and secondary grounding grids.

 Installation of two Siemens Power Control Centers (PCCs) and their cable pulling, glanding and termination.

 Installation of ABBs 4.16KV medium voltage switches gear (Unigear-ZS1) ( Normal and Emergency) , their internal cabling connection and assistance in its commissioning activities.

 Installation of AL FANAR 480V LV switch gear, its internal cabling and assistance in commissioning activities.

 Erection of two 98MVA, 13.8kV Siemens generators and their erections.

 Erection of two step up transformers of 90/110 MVA each and oil filtration with ABB vendor.

 Installation of two unit transformers (UAT) of 30/15/15 MVA each and the erection of their assembly parts and oil filtration with Hyndai Vendor.

 Installation of two 13.8KV generator circuit breakers (GCBs) and one system circuit breaker (SCB).

 Erection and installation of various distribution (MV/LV, LV/LV) transformers.

 Installation of 125V DC system.

 Installation of 230V UPS system.

 Installation of various panels in switch gear e.g. RTCCs, 132kV line protection panels, UTF metering panels, Disturbance recording panels, Synchronizing panels, Protection panels for UAT and GSUT etc.

 Installation of 8000 meter cable trays of various sizes and installation of various conduits ( PVC, RGS and EMT) of various sizes.

 Cables pulling( HV,MV,LV, Control and I&C),

 Installation of Saudi Lighting Company (SLC) lighting system.

 Installation of lightening system and its connection with main grid grounding.

 Installation of cathodic protection system.

 Testing of insulation resistance, continuity and loop checking of all control and LV cables.

 High potential testing (Hipot testing) of all the MV cables and bus bars.

 Cable termination of MV, LV, control and I&C cables.

 Installation of heat tracing system.

 Preparing As Built drawings.

Instrument and Control (I&C) Scope of Work:

 Installation of Siemens GT I&C devices e.g. flow sensors, pressure sensors, temperature sensor etc.

 Cable pulling and termination for all these devices.

 Installation of fire detection system of Minimax with their technical field advisor.

 Cold and hot loop checking of all these devices as per specifications.

 Coordination with all Siemens technical field assistants(TFAs).

 Installation of fire alarm system including its conduit installation and cable pulling.

 Installation of DCS panels in switch gear.

 Installation of CRT’s based operator station(CRT+KB).

Managerial Scope of Work:

 Communication with main contractor regarding electrical and I&C activities.

 Receiving of all drawings and documents regarding our scope of work.

 Coordination with other departments i.e. Mechanical and Civil.

 Deciding scope of work among my site supervisors and foremen.

 Distribution of manpower among my supervisors and foremen.

 Supervising all electrical and I&C activities.

 Carrying out all activities as per the project schedule.

 Reporting main contractor about out of stock material items and mismatching between drawings and site conditions for FCNs.

 Preparing RFIs of completed work and Work Progress Report (WPRs) of every month.

 Conducting tool box meeting almost every week.
