Project: Tatweer Major Power Projects.

Description:

1. 220 KV Overhead Line Ring.
Power distribution around the Awali field from EWA substation via three substations:

 North Substation.

 Central Substation.

 South Substation.

Ring will be operated as a closed circuit.

2. 33 KV Overhead Distribution Line.

The 33 KV Electrical power distribution network is designed with overhead lines using Aluminum conductors supported on steel and wooden poles. The electrical load is dispersed across the Awali Oil field. Electrical Loads in the field are split in two categories.

a. Plant Load: Power for water flood projects, Compressor stations, Steam flood projects, Central Control Facility, ESP’s.

b. Production Load : Power for Individual wells, other production Loads and Minor loads.

3. 11 KV Overhead Distribution Line.

The 11 KV secondary power distributions are using Aluminium conductors supported on wooden poles. Each of mini substations plus the main 220 KV substations will have an 11 KV distribution board from where the 11 KV radial distribution branches originate. The 11 KV branches, sub branches will reach to each well site and end on a pole mounted 11 KV/420 V transformers or an 11 KV terminal pole.
