 Head Of Back Office / Executive Director

Before going live I created a strong foundation for the Back office department by implementing procedures following CySEC regulations and hiring the right people to assist me. Helped with the development of the software created for the BackOffice department. Contacted and set up all payment processors we wished to work with. As well as being the head of Back Office I was also assisting the CFO with the client accounting. In my second year I was promoted as Executive Director.

Head of Back Office Responsibilities:

 Client’s reconciliation and client’s accounting using Methodos software;

 Preparing extra daily clients funds reconciliations using excel;

 Record keeping of all the bank balances and payment processors;

 Maintaining Segregation of funds;

 Assisting the CFO for preparing and presenting daily trading statistics to management;

 Paying invoices to all our suppliers as well as the wages of employees;

 Correspondence with banks and all payment processors for all legal issues ie compliance documentation;

 Correspondence on a daily basis with our internal auditors.

 Implementing the Client classification procedure;

 Approving the Client’s account opening;

 Requesting the conduct of the due diligence procedures at the account opening stage as well as for specific transactions;

 Updating the system/records of the Client’s accounts;

 Implementing transaction reporting as applicable;

 Confirming the client’s account has been opened with the correct procedure.

 Approving the client’s funds to be credited or debited to or from his/her live trading account and double checking once processed.

 Maintaining the department’s smooth workflow and keeping things in order.

 Making sure the Back Office department co-ordinates smoothly with other departments.

 As well as writing up the Back Office Manual, keeping it up to date on a regular basis; making sure that all procedures are followed through.

 Taking part in management meetings; updating the Chairman with how the Back Office is progressing as well as to discuss any amendments made to the Back Office manual.

 Reporting to the Chairman and HR for any issues and disturbances Back Office is faced with.

 Reporting all account openings and transactions daily and monthly.

Executive Director Responsibilities:

 General day to day management of the office staff;

 Assessment and review of the effectiveness of internal policies and procedures;

 Communication with CySEC officers;

 Collaboration with Compliance officer in all processes;

 Responsibility for submission of all regulatory reports to CySEC;

Having started working at TadawulFX as simply Back Office Officer I worked my way up to Head of Back Office.

I attended the seminars for Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission and sat the exams (General & Reception and transmission of orders in relation to one or more financial instruments) in Dec 2010. Passing the exams first hand confirmed my determination and ability generally.

Head of Back Office Responsibilities:

 Assisting the MLCO with the maintenance and update of the Client account opening procedures;

 Implementing the Client classification procedure;

 Approving the Client’s account opening;

 Requesting the conduct of the due diligence procedures at the account opening stage as well as for specific transactions;’

 Updating the system/records of the Client’s accounts;

 Implementing transaction reporting as applicable;

 Record Keeping and documentation filing;

 Assisting with the processing of account openings and all types of transactions.

Having been responsible for the marketing department of the company I worked with the online marketing (local and international) as well as the magazine and newspaper advertisements (local and international).

I was also responsible for the sales of the company as well as the after sales care of the clientele. This included full responsibility for the client’s needs and wants as to what they demanded for their property, i.e. choice of interior work, also helping them settle in to their new surroundings. As well as this I dealt with any snagging of the company having to resolve any issues or problems. Having had such tasks, required great communication skills so as to reach high levels of satisfaction.

The work involved two months training where we were trained first aid, safety procedures, and evacuation procedures. The work required having good communication skills to work as a team and to ensure the customer’s needs are met.
