 2010 – Present           COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR – Russia and Azerbaijan

STRABAG LLC Responsible for the Commercial & Contractual Administration on Projects in Azerbaijan and of late in Russia, in particular the Marriott Absheron Hotel Project in Baku, valued at € 140 million (completed in May 2012) and the Crescent Hotel Project Valued at $1.4 billion (this project in now under Arbitration) working in conjunction with our International lawyers for the litigation and preparation of all  arbitration issues, together with a further Arbitration case with a Major subcontractor, in consequence my experience extends to all aspects of dispute management, preparation of claims and contractual correspondence and management

 2006 – 2009                CONTRACT / DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR- Bahamas

RITZ CARLTON HOTEL The Abaco Club, Winding Responsible for the Contract Management in respect of the entire development of 54 super executive homes, club house, restaurants and infrastructure facilities, reporting to board of directors/owners (Ritz Carlton Hotels) on all related contractual, financial and commercial matters as CAPEX, Hotels Encouragement Act and Customs related Issues home owner contracts, Escrow accounts and all relevant contractual and sub-contract management..

 Feb 2005 – Jan 2006    COMMERCIAL MANAGER- UAE

  NORTHCROFT MIDDLE EAST, based in Abu Dhabi, where my experienced extend to but not limited for all Contract administration including Quantity Surveying for the Joint Venture Company of Six Construct and ACC on the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque- Abu Dhabi, with a Project Value of Dhs 1.3 billion actively dealing with all contractual issues related with the Management Contract of the nominated Subcontractors together with advising and overseeing preparation of Monthly Valuations, Engineers Instruction, Claims and Extensions  of Time.


 Al HABTOOR ENGINEERING, responsible for all commercial and contractual issues on various projects in Dubai, including the DUSIT DUBAI HOTEL, twin tower construction project Value Dhs 200 million, additionally responsible for the Companies Claims and Contractual disputes on outstanding final accounts, including preparation of arbitration proceeding for the Men’s Higher College AL Ruwayyah client being Dubai Municipality.     

 Jul 2000 – May 2003      COMMERCIAL MANAGER, Qatar  

 TECHNITAL Ltd, Contract and Commercial Management including quantity surveying duties on the Immigration Al Gharrafa Interchange Project ‘D’ Ring Road, controlling the Main Contractor J&P dealing with monthly valuations, variations, claims site re-measurement, contractual disputes and review of technical projects, major infrastructure work, including HV cabling and deep water sewers.

 Aug 1996 – Jun 2000       COUNTY MANAGER – Libya

 INVENT WATER TREATMENT (ROCHDALE) LTD, Responsible for co-ordination of the Companies activities in Libya, including the QS duties for the Benghazi End Pumping Station on the Great Man-Made River Project, Contract dispute resolution, Subcontract Management and Co-ordination, Contract Administration, Financial Administration and Budgets, Procurement and Personnel Administration.

 May 1990 – Jul 1996        PROJECT CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR- Albania

 WALTER BAU AG – German Company, Contract Management and QS duties on the RINAS AIRPORT PROJECT Tirana Albania, Co-ordination of Project correspondence with the Client, Contract Management of the Subcontractors Contract Administration and Procurement issues together with all financial and cost management and cost control, subcontractors payments and final account submissions, the Project consisted of a complete rehabilitation of the existing runway, installation of new cabling and runway edge lighting, taxiway, apron edge tight and approach lighting and PAPI navigation lighting system,  constant power system, radar and complete mains and generated power systems.

 1988 –1990                SR. QUANTITY SUREYOR- LHR England

 (MTM) BA World Cargo Centre, to establish a PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) Programme in respect of the World Cargo mechanical handling equipment and full building services on a 24 hours 3 shift operation manpower system. This included complete cost administration and monitoring of the maintenance programme including material procurement and specialized subcontractor control, ATV and ETV cargo handling systems.

 1984 – 1988                     PROJECT ADMINISTRATION – KSA

  HYUNDAI CIVIL ENGINEERING, to liaise between all departments for the Coordination of the Line ‘C’ project, this included the complete cost management and contractual administration together with preparation of all project documentation, contracts and legal correspondence including all QA procedures.

 BOWMER & KIRKLAND LTD, the commencement of my career at the age of 22 within the Construction Industry in respect of that of a Quantity Surveyor which required the preparation of interim applications for payment of Sub-Contracts and account Re-measurement, The first largest Project worked on namely the Britannia Shopping Centre, Hinckley, Leicestershire.
