• Synthesis of pure and doped nanophosphors of molydates and tungstates

Summary:

Nano science is an emerging field, the properties of a particle are very much depended on its size, and so by controlling the size of the particle, we can alter the properties. Phosphors are the materials which emit light, so by controlling the size of phosphors we can alter the emitted light wavelength. As chemical engineers we control the reaction conditions and thus synthesize nano range particles which have very good properties, we attempted doping and co- doping successfully and studied the properties as far as we know we are the first one to perform cerium doping on molybdate, and hence we are studying it further for publishing a paper.
