My name is Andrew Vickers, a young professional in the ICT sector, with 4 years experience working for a large company. Responsible for the successful drawdown of the largest site closure within MoD history.

IT Support Officer

Single point of contact, 1st and 2nd line support, for all IT/Telecom enquiries.

Senior Site Administrator responsible for 1200 users across 3 sites.

Administration and maintenance of SharePoint Services (WSS/MOSS) – utilising html, xml and JAVA.

Managing and analysing all change request across the sites – cost, justification, and ensuring Service Level Agreements are met.

Installation of Ad-Hoc networks for smaller departments, also assist in maintenance of DII Network/Infra.

Asset Management: Responsible for over 1200 UADs, 180 Restricted Laptops, 60 Standalone Laptops, 80 secure media devices and various other equipment.

Managing and maintaining Information, ensuring that all information management protocols are adhered.

Youth Worker

In addition to my full-time job as an IT Support Officer, I contribute to my local community a the Youth Centre in the evenings and weekends. I assist in the delivery and provision of social education and recreational opportunities for children of serving personnel. Plan and deliver stable, weekly programmes. Assist with the organisation of trips/outings for the young people, (camping, ski/snowboard, theme parks).

Project Management – Infrastructure

I assisted the lead Project Manager with the largest site closure within the Ministry of Defence. Working with Prince2 strategies, we successfully migrated users, servers/data, assets to the new site(s) with little to no disruption to their working day. I liased with 3rd party logistic, data destruction and customers to ensure each project ran on time and cost effectively.
