The key learning during the internship was the processing of the Business Unit and its function within the organisation, gained appropriate commercial knowledge during a very short span of time. The overview of the business unit provided firsthand knowledge of the processes carried out at various departments and their day to day operations and how this influenced the overall business production.

During the internship, performed several tasks and assignments. Achieved them all in a very effective and timely manner. The activities performed were the followings;
  • Understanding sales order processing activities
  • Understanding about the INCOTERMS being used in the department
  • Understanding of import related documentations like payment orders, clearing advices etc
  • Using SAP (System Application & Products) and Spiridon (a SAP product) and the uses of SAP at different levels of working and reporting within the departments
  • Go through various flow charts of operations, functions and activities within the departments to fully understand business operations.

  • Out bound call agent for promotion and up selling the Sprint wireless services in Canada, also to attract the switched customers, back to the Sprint wireless services.
