African Minerals is open cast Iron ore mining company. The Ore produced is mainly of two types Lumps and Fines.My role focused on Automation, Plant Communication Network and Field Instruments and their Maintenance

• Projects Execution, Creating IO List, Developing FDS.
• Work under minimum of technical supervision.
• Configuring and Programming Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
• Responsible for configuring, developing Automation and control system involving HMI and SCADA.
• Installing, configuring, calibrating and maintaining control, measurement and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog & digital).
• Interface with other department personnel for the purpose of analysing to achieve processing/manufacturing requirements.

In the Process Plant the ore coming from Mining area goes through a series of processes like Crushing, Washing, Screening and Stockpile from where it is shipped.

To maintain the furnace draft, Oxygen trim Control/ Combustion control by controlling the speed of ID and FD fan.
