Short Bio:

I have completed my MSc in Embedded System & Control Engineering from University of Leicester, UK. My MSc Project was Fault Detection Scheme using Sliding Mode Observer for a Fifth order Induction Motor. This project is design to generate an `alarm' when fault occur in Induction Motor. I have graduated from Usman Institute of Technology (Hamdard University) in Electronics (Industrial) Engineering in January 2009 ,My Final Year Project was Data Acquisition & Control System (Microcontroller based). This project is designed to measure and log some parameters.
Right now I am working in CPSA (joint venture of Chiyoda Petrostar and Samsung Engineering),both these companies are positioned as one of the major EPC contractors in the Petrochemical, Oil, and Refinery plant sectors in the Kingdom. I am working as a Commissioning and Turnover Engineer in SATORP (Saudi Aramco Total Refinery and Petrochemical Company). Our Main Scope of work is to design and built Delayed Coker Unit, LGP Merox, Two Substation and PIB from new grass root level which was named as Jubail Export Refinery (JER) at the Jubail Industrial City 2.
Before Joing Samsung I was worked as Project Engineer at Intech Integration System which are authorized dealer of Honeywell in Kingdom. I finished almost six projects from designing to commissioning which include Mobily Technical Building Jeddah, Riadh and Dammam, Nano Lab of King Abdul Aziz University, Wadi ad Dawaser Hospital and Dirab Tunnel South Riyadh. My Main duties are here Programming, Designing and Commissioning of Digital Data Controllers at different sites.
I have worked for MDL Technology as a Control and Instrumentation Engineer from November 2008 to October 2009.My responsibilities mainly focused on study different sensors and actuators specification, Circuit Designing using Orcad (PCB Manufacturing), Programming PLC and automate it different applications, Designing control logic for DDC Panel on AutoCAD and its fabrication and Reported on progress at weekly team meetings.
I have done several semester projects which include speed control of DC & AC motor using discrete components and Microcontroller, direction control of Stepper Motor using Microcontroller, Dual Voltage Variable Power Supply, Motor direction control using H-bridge, etc. I have completed 2 internship programs in Lucky Textile Mill and MDL Technology where I study reading of wiring diagram, PLC connectivity and their programming, Installation of software packages, Troubleshoot electronic and electrical systems.

MSc Project:

Fault Detection Scheme using Sliding Mode Observer for a Fifth order Induction Motor

This project is done under the supervision of “Prof. Dr. Christopher Edwards”.

This project is design to model sliding mode observer for fault detection in a fifth order Induction motor. Basically it generate an `alarm’ when fault occur in Induction Motor, the working of Induction motor is continuously monitored by Sliding mode observer using mathematical model of induction motor. It set the threshold value on expected faults and if faults exceed this threshold value then alarm will generate.
