Leading flow & process control equipment distributor to the oil, gas, chemical, water, food, pharmaceutical industries and procurement services to fabricators and EPC contractors.

Implement the regional marketing plan and provide regular feedback on market positioning based on market, customers, and competitors analysis & research. Develop contacts with engineering firms to enhance product awareness and obtain product approvals. Handle technical and commercial negotiations with existing and potential customers and secure orders.

Work closely with the sales team as to optimize the exchange of market intelligence, develop existing customer base, create new business in the markets of FYR Macedonia, Cyprus, Libya and KSA, maximize customer satisfaction / retention and obtain regular feedback on competitor’s pricing structure and market share.

Represent the company at local and international trade fairs and also participate at sales meetings organized by principals that company acts as their agent or distributor.

Support to the business with respect to strategic sourcing of new vendors, agency agreements and competitive bids for major purchases. Control procurement needs and processes, follow-up on all contracts with regard to delivery and resolution of disputes as necessary.

June 2004 - July 2006 - IndMac Ltd. - Sales Manager (Business Development)

Manufacturer’s representative and distributor in the fields of process valves, flow measurement, steam turbines and above ground storage tank accessories.

Following the promotion to the Sales Manager role, concentrated on business development in new niche market fields related to the refining and petrochemical clients while supervised the sales team on the existing product range. Fields that were developed included special-alloys customized valves, coriolis flow meters, and fieldbus automation services.

Updated approvals and self-audit programs in accordance to the requirements of end-users’ and EPC contractors’ vendor lists. Designed and conducted pre-sales presentations to existing and prospective clients. Handled negotiations with large users such as HELPE, Motor Oil, EKO-BP.

Responsible for recruitment of external sales personnel and territory agents.

February 2002 - May 2004 - IndMac Ltd. - Engineering Procurement Officer / Strategic Sourcing

Manufacturer’s representative and distributor in the fields of process valves, flow measurement, steam turbines and above ground storage tank accessories.

Maintained correspondence with principals and vendors on all matters relating to purchasing such as inquiries, tenders and orders. Provided post purchase order support to client departments during the warranty / life-time of the equipment purchased, coordinating with suppliers on after sales support, resolving claims and non-conformities as necessary.

Developed and implemented across the organization an integrated expediting and inspection process for the follow up with all the vendors world-wide. Handled vendor negotiations and management in order to achieve competitive bids for complex projects in line with client requirements. Organised and participated in inspection and quality audits on behalf of clients at vendor manufacturing facilities.

Established long term purchase agreements with reliable and quality suppliers / OEMs by negotiating for the most favorable prices, terms and conditions to reduce transaction costs and administrative lead time.

November 1999 - January 2002 - Grantex S.A. - International Industrial Sales

Friction material manufacturer for the automotive, mining and industrial markets.

Initially on a contract job related to the supervision of installation and commissioning of the new computer-based friction testing facilities. Joined the industrial sales team and were assigned the new export markets according to the executive marketing plan. Focused on sales of friction material and brake linings to the mining and power industry aftermarket. Conducted a thorough market research and onsite visits that led up to successful distributor and agency deals in Lithuania, Bulgaria, Romania and Jordan.

March 2001 onwards - Nipple Print Consumables Co. - Co-Founder / Shareholder

Import & distribution of computer peripherals and printing consumables.

Company is active in the East Macedonia & Thrace region of Greece and supplies the local corporate and industrial clients with computer peripherals, network components and printer consumables in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Initially developed the sourcing and purchasing procedures for the suppliers. Inventory management software development and installation was supervised. Later moved-on a consultative role and since late 2006 involvement was limited to shareholder level only.

September 1996 - September 1997 - RS Components Ltd. (an Electrocomponents plc company) - Assistant Conformance Engineer

World’s leading high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products.

As a member of the Industrial Electronics & IT conformance engineering team, performed all the day-to-day inspection of the laboratory equipment and monitoring facilities. Instrument calibrations and PAT testing were on a regular basis. Designed many product demo rigs for trade fairs and training of sales personnel purposes. Also, were on regular visits to vendor premises for QA and assessment procedures.
