PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Designation:    Unit Incharge

Duration:          From June 2011 to June 2013

Working as Unit Incharge with erection and commissioning team on a Granulated super phosphate project facility. The project comprises various plants which play an integral role in the overall production of Single Super Phosphate and Sulfuric acid in Pakistan. These include Sulfuric Acid (Capacity: 75,000 M.Tons annually), Granulated single super phosphate (GSSP) Fertilizer (Capacity: 150,000 M.Tons annually), Power Generation and Water Treatment plants (Capacity 40 M.Tons per hour).

 Responsibilities:

1         Development of the PFD and PIDs of SSP Powder Plant, Granulated Single Super Phosphate (GSSP) and Sulfuric acid handling facility.

2         Punch list System development with commissioning team, providing Process support to maintenance for the plant erection as per PID.

3         Preparation and Finalization of Process instrumentation of the GSSP and Sulfuric acid handling facility.

4         Prepared pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures for the plants.

5         Preparation of pre-startup and post startup checklists.

6         Preparation of SOPs.

7         Preparation of operating manuals.

8         Preparation of safety manuals.

9         Preparation of work permits and work notifications.

10     Preparation of log sheets and inspection sheets.

Company:       Suraj Fertilizer Industries (Pvt) Ltd, Pakistan

Duration:          From January 2009 to June 2011

Worked as Shift In charge on Sulphuric Acid plant.

Also took part in commissioning, startup&shut down activities of the whole Project.

The Largest plant in PAKISTAN, controlled by DCS (SUPCON).

Also having the waste heat recovery system for power generation.

Sulphuric Acid Plant (220 MT/D), Single Super Phosphate (500 MT/D) & Single Super Phosphate Granulated (500 MT/D).

Responsibilities:

1         To develop Process Flow Diagrams with Complete Material & Energy Balance.

2         To prepare Equipment and Instrument Lists from P&IDs.

3         Checking Line Sizes & Technical Details of Equipments on P & IDs.

4         Line  Sizing  and  Pressure Drop  Calculations

5         To make efforts to get the maximum production and ensuring   the continuity of the plant.

6         To create harmony b/w the people and work.

7         To ensure safety & company policies at work places.

8         Command on DCS and PLC control system.

9         Quality control & trouble shooting.

10     Take measures for any abnormality and emergency.

11     To manage all activities at plant to ensure product quality and quantity.

12     To develop/ Modify/ Optimize plant operating parameters as per requirement.

Erectioning:

It involves the studies of PFDs and P&IDs and the installation of pumps, sulfur pits, furnace, blower, boiler, gas filter, SO₂ convertor, heat exchangers, economizers, absorption towers, SO₂ scrubber (anti-pollution section), cooling towers etc.

 Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning:

It involves the different testing techniques like Hydraulic test, Dye penetration test, smooth operation of each equipment, proper installation and maintenance etc.

The duty area consists of four departments;

 Sulphuric Acid Plant (MAJOR):

Double Contact Double Absorption Process (220 MT/Day).

Distributed Control System (DCS).

Water Treatment Plant:

Softening Plant (Capacity 900 m³/day).

Reverse Osmosis & Demin Plant (Capacity 900 m³/day).

Boiler Section:

Auxiliary Boiler (Cap. 05 T/hr).

Waste Heat Boiler, operating pressure 42 Kg/cm² (Cap. 11.5 T/hr).

Power Generation Section:

Turbo Generator of 3.0 MW (PLC system).

Bachelors in Chemical Engineering   from U.E.T, Lahore, Pakistan, 2004 – 2008
